The Team Behind Purpose Summit

In 2019, Davin Salvagno gathered a bunch of purpose-driven leaders and companies into a room with a simple idea, but powerful vision - What would it look like if individuals and organizations aligned on their purpose? Three hundred leaders from around the world responded and came together in a repurposed abandoned school building in Detroit, and that was the beginning of the Purpose Summit.

 

In 2021, Davin crossed paths with Erika Kulovitz in a way that felt more like fate than scheduling. Davin had been invited to keynote at the Biggby Coffee Summit, and Erika was producing and directing the experience behind the scenes. The kind of collaboration where you just know you’re working with good people—the energy clicks, the trust is immediate, and the shared values are obvious from day one.

A year later, Davin reached back out, this time inviting Akire Events Agency to collaborate on the Culture Forum in San Diego. What started as a single project quickly turned into a creative partnership grounded in mutual respect, big ideas, and a shared belief that experiences can change people.

 

From there, the journey naturally evolved into partnering and producing Purpose Summit—an event built on intentional connection, meaningful conversation, and real-world impact. With each year, the vision expanded, the community deepened, and the mission sharpened.

 

In 2025, Erika felt a clear calling to step in as Managing Partner of Purpose Summit—leaning fully into the responsibility of stewarding its growth and amplifying its impact. With Davin’s vision and Erika’s creative leadership, the summit entered a new chapter—one focused on raising the bar, expanding its reach, and building a platform that helps leaders move with purpose, clarity, and heart.

 

What began as a single keynote and a shared moment of alignment has become a long-term partnership—and a growing movement rooted in trust, creativity, and purpose-driven leadership.
